Brad Pitt’s $300 Million Worth Formula 1 Movie Has Just Got a June 2025 Release Date
Brad Pitt’s untitled Formula 1 racing movie has been in the news for being one of the most expensive movies to be made in the coming days. However, despite all the buzz surrounding the $300 million movie, there was no theatrical distributor attached to it, nor were there any specifics given for the release of Joseph Kosinski's film. Well, that has changed now. As reported by Variety, the upcoming Apple Original film will hit the big screens on June 27, 2025, with Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. Entertainment will be handling the movie’s distribution both domestically and overseas. Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment will also be involved in the production. Additionally, several IMAX venues have been selected for the movie’s release. Now the big question is whether the movie will be able to justify the historic production budget it has quoted, especially since this year saw many such high-budget movies biting the dust at the theaters.

This list includes Furiosa, The Fall Guy, Madame Web, and the Henry Cavill-led box office disappointments, Argylle and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Nevertheless, movies like the sleeper hit Anyone But You, Inside Out 2, and Bad Boys: Ride or Die have also helped keep the box office momentum going. However, looking at it analytically, the upcoming Formula 1 movie could still defy all these mixed feelings.

The upcoming movie will be Joseph Kosinski’s first film since Top Gun: Maverick, which became a global phenomenon in 2022. Anyone familiar with Kosinski's genius would know that he can easily turn the $300 million movie into a masterpiece, especially considering that Kosinski and his cinematographer Claudio Miranda have rolled out the same camera system they developed for Top Gun: Maverick, literally.
On top of this, the film has been produced in close collaboration with Formula One and the F1 community. Not only have they used real cars, with modified Formula 2 challengers, but they also had their own pit garage set up, which could provide an authentic experience in the cinematic world. Considering all these factors, there is much hope for the Brad Pitt starrer to be the biggest blockbuster in the history of cinema.
