Pete Davidson recently appeared in an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He sat down with the host to talk about his latest endeavors. When Fallon mentioned his mom, Amy Davidson, and how she always supported him, the American actor said that he had been trying to find her a date. The 29-year-old also revealed she has not been with anyone for nearly 23 years, so he wants to set her up. “So it’s like you know brand new down there,” joked the Suicide Squad star.

Davidson continued the person should be nice to her because she is an amazing woman. To this, the host asked the audience “Do you have any single people out there?” making the crowd roar. The New York native then explained that he wants the kind of person who can look after her and help him out. “I really just want someone to take care of her,” he remarked, adding, “and to get her off my hands.”

The actor started looking for a boyfriend for his mom weeks after paparazzi spotted him with Netflix’s Outer Banks star. Meanwhile, this is not the first time he has talked about her mom in interviews. A few months back, he revealed the way she took to defend him on social media.

Davidson can always count on his mom for support

During his appearance on the Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers podcast, Pete Davidson spilled beans on the extreme lengths his mother went to support him. The Fast X star recalled his early SNL days when he was getting a lot of negative comments on social media. So, backing him up, Amy made a fake account on Twitter under the name @JoeSmith1355. He revealed she used to respond to all the haters who bad-mouthed him.

In the same interview, he also shared how she used to attend all the SNL after-parties on his behalf when he had anxiety issues. She covered for him in the moments when no one would have stood up for him. This mother-and-son duo certainly have an amazing bond. And now the actor is just trying to do something for her so she can be happy when he is not around.
