With summer treading into fall and It Ends With Us having completed its box office run more than a few months ago, one would think that the drama surrounding the press tour of the movie would wither with the season. However, now, anytime Blake Lively's name is associated with an It Ends With Us co-star or any co-star for that matter, it rings sirens. 

Turning the tables this time around, Lively has taken the heartwarming captions reserved for her friends and family but not her husband, and dedicated it to an It Ends With Us co-star.

Given the brouhaha surrounding the cast dynamics of It Ends With Us, it would not be wrong to assume that the movie would fall on the list whose cast never talked to each other after the shoot. However, either due to the making of a sequel or simply because save for a few, good bonds actually existed on the set, some cast members are still thick as thieves. Blake Lively's recent shower of praises for Jenny Slate on her Instagram story is proof of the same.

Posting a picture of Lifeform by Jenny Slate alongside Ryan Reynolds, Lively captioned the picture "two of my favorite people in one place" along with a slew of other compliments. While the two played sister-in-laws on-screen, it seems the 'in-laws' bit got subtracted in their equation off-screen.

While Blake Lively and Jenny Slate may have forged a good bond while working on It Ends With Us, the future of the sequel still remains in jeopardy.

For those unversed with the Colleen Hoover lore, the author is one of the bestselling in today's time and she is essentially the mastermind behind the It Ends With Us movie. If things are to go according to her books then, the 2024 movie is supposed to be followed by a It Starts With Us sequel. However, with the kerfuffle that has unfolded between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the chances are close to none.

With Justin Baldoni also having the rights to the sequel to some extent, and the two not having released any statements to calm down the storm of public speculation brewing about their bad blood, the chances of a collaboration seem unlikely. However, with Reynolds ready to deck out a few million to ensure his wife gets the role, who knows if the tables might finally turn and fans will get to witness a Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively interview together.
