Lively confirmed to PEOPLE that it was indeed the original couture piece, expressing a mix of pride and astonishment, saying, “It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it’s on me.” Lively also called herself the biggest "Spears stan" in a chat with Extra.

The multicolored sequined dress features a one-shoulder halter neckline and a unique cutout across the bodice, perfectly complementing the floral-themed looks Lively has been showcasing all summer, which ties with her character Lily Bloom and her floral shop in It Ends With Us. The actress topped it off by pairing the outfit with rings from Lorraine Schwartz’s fine jewelry collection, and a set of dangling earrings. She also shared a heartfelt message for the pop star on her Instagram story, celebrating “the ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle.”
