The movie is now called Another Simple Favor and has been set as SXSW’s opening night premiere.

According to Feig, Lively, and Kendrick on X, the movie will debut on Amazon Prime Video on May 1. If she appears at the film festival, it will mark Lively’s first public appearance since the start of her legal confrontations with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. Although Lively and Ryan Reynolds were seen linking up with Michele Morrone a while ago, marking their first joint appearance since the legal trials, the latest update for Another Simple Favor is expected to fast-track the Gossip Girl alum’s public outings even more.

Not too long ago, when the spotlight’s sole focus was Blake Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni, Another Simple Favor kept circling the gossip grapevine of cancelation. Although Paul Feig swooped in and saved the day, Stephanie and Emily’s friendship might need a savior, too. As per the logline, in Another Simple Favor, Stephanie and Emily travel to Capri, Italy, for the latter’s wedding to a rich Italian businessman, where “murder and betrayal” take place. 

Apart from Lively, Another Simple Favor stars Anna Kendrick, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Henry Golding, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, and Allison Janney.
