At the time of presales, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert movie beat several A-list Hollywood movies in the rush to acquire numbers. The musical extravaganza also grossly outnumbered 2023’s Barbie in the capacity to fill up the theaters. Soon after its launch, the concert movie already amassed a whopping $240 million. However, soon joining the ranks is Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.
Queen Bey’s documentation of her Renaissance concerts stands just a minute shorter than Swift’s movie at 2 hours and 48 minutes. The flick will not only showcase behind-the-scenes interviews and specials but also the effort that went into putting up the fest. Additionally, on its December 1 launch, the movie stands pegged to draw in $17-$20 million in its opening weekend alone.
