Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool Confirmed? Insider Sets the Record Straight After Screening in China

The last time Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were seen in a movie together was in 2011, when the two had not even started courting each other. Fans believe it is high time they bring their off-screen chemistry to the screen. This was particularly teased in a new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer released last month. The trailer gave a second-long glimpse of what looked like Deadpool in another universe, particularly a female version, and fans were quick to speculate it was Lady Deadpool.

It did not take long for rumors of it being Blake Lively to spread. Finally, a popular Hollywood insider has shed light on the rumor.

Is Blake Lively really in Deadpool & Wolverine?

Recently, a bunch of private audiences in Shanghai, China, had the honor of catching 30-40 minutes of Deadpool & Wolverine ahead of its release. Following the fan event, rumors started spreading that in those 30-40 minutes, Lady Deadpool appeared in the movie and her voice sounded very much like that of Blake Lively. Setting the record straight, MyTimeToShineHello on X replied to a fan comment claiming the same, saying, “The Lady Deadpool footage was 5 seconds long and no voice was heard so that's not true”.

That is not to say Lady Deadpool will not be in the main movie either. When a fan replied to MyTimeToShineHello’s tweet saying, “You havent seen the final film tho”, the Hollywood insider replied, “I'm not talking about the final film here”. This statement further proved that there is, in fact, a possibility for Lady Reynolds to cameo as Lady Deadpool in the movie. However, some might say that it could also be Taylor Swift, a close friend of both Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

While it is unsure whether Blake Lively will be in the upcoming Marvel movie, she recently had the chance to work with Reynolds in a movie, though not sharing screen. And the Deadpool star could not be happier about it.

Ryan Reynolds recently got featured in the live-action animated fantasy comedy, IF, directed by his long-time friend John Krasinski. In the movie, Blake Lively had the chance to lend her voice to the character of Octopuss. In a May interview with Entertainment Tonight, Reynolds shared how thankful he was for Krasinski to give this opportunity to his wife, that too, without a "grueling audition process."

With this casting, Reynolds and Lively managed to give their children the experience of a lifetime of seeing their parents in a movie together. Although the couple may not want their children to watch the R-rated Deadpool & Wolverine, this pairing of the Green Lantern leads in the upcoming movie would be a dream come true for their fans and Marvel buffs alike.
