After nearly 20 years, the Red Dragons made their comeback to the Second Division. However, a few games into the league, the club faced its first challenge as Ben Foster announced retirement. Following the iconic match against Swindon Town, the legendary goalkeeper decided to hang his gloves. And recently, Foster recalled the exact moment when he knew he should retire. On his YouTube channel, Fozcast, the former Manchester United star, revealed how, after conceding the third goal in the match, he knew it was time to bid farewell

The English footballer explained to his co-host how his usual self would have easily stopped Dan Kamp’s 22-yard-shot. However, during the match, his quick reaction time evaded him in that instance, and despite knowing where the shot would land, he failed to stop it. Expressing regret over the same, the former Wrexham legend spoke, “I wouldn’t even have to think about doing it before. Honestly, I wouldn’t. I’d just do it.”
