Henry Cavill played a forgettable role in Matthew Vaughn’s 2007 movie

After delivering a string of fantasy cinematic experiences, The Witcher star is ready to crush the spy thriller genre. His next feature film, based on an unreleased book under the same name, will arrive on the screen next year. However, the Cavill and Vaughn collaboration is already generating massive buzz owing to the involvement of popular singer, Dua Lipa. This gives reason to believe that Cavill’s role will not be as forgettable as his appearance in Vaughn’s 2007 movie, Stardust. 

The fantasy adventure film, directed and co-written by the Argylle director, featured Cavill in the role of Humphrey. Cavill took on the role of frustrating the main lead of the movie, Tristan. Although the 40-year-old actor’s character was not very significant in the movie, it drove the protagonist to begin his heroic journey. The movie did average business at the box office and received a lukewarm response from the audience and critics. 

However, given the hype of Cavill’s upcoming collaboration with Vaughn, it is safe to say that the movie is on the track of tremendous success.

The growing hype around the upcoming spy-thriller Argylle

Fans saw the 40-year-old nailing the role of the greatest fictional detective of all time, Sherlock Holmes, in the Millie Bobby Brown starred Enola Holmes. Now the actor is ready to play the world’s greatest spy traveling around the globe in the 2024  movie, Argylle. The anticipated project will be the first movie of an ongoing franchise, featuring big shots like Bryan Cranston and John Cena. However, what has truly been a buzz generator was the ‘Levitating’ singer pairing up with the legendary actor. 

The casting of Lipa in the spy-thriller divided fans into two sections. While some could not wait to see the sensational singer in her debut role, others were skeptical about her skills as an actress. Even the 28-year-old herself was quite jittery about her part throughout production and was mindful of not choosing a role that she could not live up to. Nevertheless, the sneak peeks of Cavill and Lipa’s scenes from the movie received rather favorable responses from fans, making Argylle’s future promising.
