For instance, it seems, not a lot of people realize that the actor is a father to a 2-year-old!

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly for his upcoming movie Bird, Barry Keoghan shared his personal journey of growing up without a father and how that has shaped him as a dad. He admitted that the absence of a father figure in his childhood has made it challenging to have a “normal father-son relationship” with his own child. Despite this, the Oscar-nominated actor stressed that he loves his son dearly, even though he is still in the process of figuring out the best way to guide him. 

Barry Keoghan welcomed his little boy in 2022 with his former girlfriend, Alyson Sandro. He named his son Brando after the legendary actor Marlon Brando, although he has always been upfront about not forcing his son into acting. Even though the couple reportedly broke up in the summer of 2023, Keoghan stayed close to his son. And surprisingly, his mixed emotions as a father were kept clear of online negativity.
