A standalone film has now achieved what eight films were capable of achieving. One of Warner Bros. classics, Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows Part II, was the eighth and final installment in the fantasy world of Hogwarts. Having been released over ten years, the movies were a massive success, clocking $1.341 billion with its last film. Lo and behold, the Robbie-produced film is set to take over the multi-billion dollar franchise on August 28. Falling short of just 1 million, it will set the record for beating the Studio’s highest-grossing global release movie.
Moreover, the portrayal of one’s journey of self-discovery combined with witty and smart backdrops of the prejudice that still exists against women got the biggest blockbuster stage. The message Robbie intended to co-write with her husband, Noah Baumbach, reached the world, with an add-on of the “dinosaurs and Spielberg“ success.
It wasn’t just the Little Women director who enjoyed Barbie’s raking success as it hit the billion mark right around the corner of her birthday weekend. Other celebrities jumped on the Barbiecore-filled celebrations too.
