Back When Tommy Lee Jones Called Out Will Smith’s “Bullsh*t” 15 Years After Their Million Dollar Outing
Who could ever forget the film that brought the world the duo of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones? When it came out, Men In Black ended up garnering a lot of attention and, to date, it is still one of the King Richard star’s biggest successes. However, it looks like the stars carried their characters’ dynamic into their real lives. 15 years after they had first teamed up, the 77-year-old shared his thoughts on his younger co-star.
With Smith acting like a nagging partner just for laughs, the older, more experienced actor could not help but call him out on a few things he had said.

Back in 2012, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith sat down with the Lubbock Avalanche Journal and talked about the relationship they had built during their time working on Men In Black. With the third movie of the franchise coming out, they had been back on set. However, The Fresh Prince star started off the conversation by complaining that his co-star “doesn’t compliment” him. Right after that, Jones clapped back that his complaints were “bullsh*t.”
While both of them were joking around, the interaction left everyone in fits of laughter. Just like in the film, their dynamic seemed as exciting and intriguing as ever. After that, both the actors ended up diving into the promotion for their then-upcoming film. The promotion came as the second film of the franchise had not done as well as the first at the box office.
Although the second film did not live up to expectations, Smith and Jones ended up sharing how they had felt about working on it.

Unlike the first part of Men In Black, the second film of the franchise ended up focusing on Will Smith seeking the help of the younger version of his partner, Agent K. While the character was played by Tommy Lee Jones in the first film, the younger version ended up being done by Josh Brolin. During the same interview, both the co-stars opened up about what they thought about the film.
Smith said that the whole thing “felt safe” for him because it was more about his co-star. However, Jones chose to keep his opinion about the whole thing to himself. Most recently, there have been reports of a 5th part being in the works, but there has been no confirmation as of yet.
