Meghan Markle has officially retired from the acting world after being hitched to the Duke of Sussex. However, during her relatively brief stint in Hollywood, she had quite a successful career, featuring in various shows. While some of her roles became popular, others missed the mark and faded into obscurity. One such show that had a lesser-known appearance of Meghan Markle was the American television sitcom, The League, originally aired on FX and later on FXX.

Four years after the show went off air, the creators and cast reminisced about Meghan Markle’s time on the show after one of the cast members pointed it out.

The team of The League celebrated the 10th anniversary of the sitcom in the year 2019. The celebration event had all the cast members along with its creators, who recalled the memorable moments of the show. When Katie Aselton pointed out the fact that Mark Duplass, who played Pete Eckhart on the show, would be the “Eskimo brothers with Prince Harry”, the cast remembered Markle’s brief stint on the show in the first season.

Meghan Markle made an appearance on the show in 2019 opposite Mark Duplass, as a divorced woman named Meghan. She played one of the first women Pete Eckhart tried to socialize with following his divorce, only to find out she was a divorcee herself. Stephen Rannazzisi, who played Kevin MacArthur, was completely taken aback by the conversation and he could not remember having Markle on the show at all. Despite such forgettable performances, Markle truly shone in her performance as Rachel Zane in the hit series Suits

Meghan Markle’s tenure in the legal drama Suits was not only her lengthiest but also the most popular role in her career. During her appearance at Variety’s Power of Women event, she discussed the show’s sudden rise in popularity which led it to rank at the top of Nielsen’s list for several weeks. The former actress expressed her astonishment at this feat saying, “Isn’t that wild?”. She then attributed the reason to the binge-worthy nature of the legal drama which “is hard to find” nowadays.

The Duchess also recalled her time on the show and the good memories she made with the cast members. Apart from talking about her hit show, she also teased her upcoming projects with Prince Harry. Now that the Duchess does not have the responsibility of playing a working member of the royal, the possibility of her Hollywood comeback seems more and more plausible.
