Back When Jennifer Aniston’s Jaw Dropped to See Zendaya Win An Emmy Award Over Her for ‘Euphoria’

For most people, touching 25 signifies a coming of age into becoming a boring adult. But for the Euphoria sensation Zendaya, this generality certainly does not apply. Because before she could even turn 25, the actress was already an Emmy award winner among her many other achievements. And to achieve this accolade, she had to beat another industry mogul who has been a household name for decades. 

From slaying all her red carpet looks to breaking boundaries, Zendaya has now managed to become a household name herself. After all, if winning an Emmy against Jennifer Aniston can’t get you superstardom, nothing can.

Although the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards were hosted virtually due to Covid-19, viewers could still feel the suspense oozing through their screens. Nominated for the ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ award, Zendaya, and Jennifer Aniston are both frozen still as Jimmy Fallon reads out the winner’s name. Making history, Zendaya clutches the award as we see Jennifer Aniston applauding her through their screens. 

 

Aniston looks genuinely amazed and supportive of the Dune actress as she celebrates her victory. Maybe the Friends star is among the many fans of the teenage drama show. Although Zendaya has since won many awards for Euphoria with her most recent one being just this year, her first Emmy was a rare milestone moment.

Now three years later, the show that catapulted the 26-year-old into legendary status continues to glue people to their screens. But recent times have been tough for the cast and makers of the show as misfortunes pile on. 

Euphoria suffers back-to-back setbacks

As the SAG-AFTRA strike continues to rock Hollywood, Euphoria is one among the many shows that face delays. Amidst all this, the show recently lost a beloved cast member who played the drug dealer named Fez. Angus Cloud, who was merely 25, lost his life on 31st July. Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya both spoke of their regrets about losing a dear co-worker.

With its huge fanbase, Euphoria has a worldwide following. And restless fans are heartbroken with the delays that are keeping them from their favorite show. After all, with such award-winning performances by Zendaya and Sweeney, the show is bound for much more greatness.
