Back When Jennifer Aniston Called Ex-Husband Brad Pitt “Wonderful” as the Latter Admitted to “Flubbing” the First Line on ‘Friends’
Jennifer Aniston and her shot to fame with Friends gave us the beloved character of Rachel. It also gave us the famous wolf cut, though not very trendy when she pulled it off, but very much in the trend now. Her evolution from the “daddy’s girl” to the self-sufficient individual by the end is what makes her one of the most popular characters in pop culture. Not just the fandom, but the show brought other happy memories for the actress too. She appeared on screen with her then-husband, Brad Pitt, and created a lifetime of memories with the on-screen cameo.
While Pitt’s appearance garnered positive reactions from the audience, the cast were equally bowled over by the cameo. However, the Troy actor had a confession to make.

In 2021 Access Hollywood has a sit down with the three female leads from Friends ahead of the reunion. They were asked who their favorite guest stars were, and Aniston and Lisa Kudrow remembered the cameo with the Fight Club actor. The Murder Mystery actress recalled how having him was great, saying, “Mr Pitt was wonderful.” Her co-star Kudrow chimed in, “He was fantastic.”
While the three leads of the show found his appearance on the show fantastic, a couple of years before their comment, Pitt had an interesting anecdote to add about the time.
The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actor got candid about his time on set of the Friends in a 2019 interview with Access Hollywood. He revealed how he loved the cast, who used to have a good time with each other on sets. However, his own appearance in the show required a few takes. The 59-year-old actor recalled “flubbing” his very first lines and having to stop and start again.
Pitt played the role of Will Colbert, who was Rachel, Ross, and Monica’s schoolmate, who hated Rachel since their time in High School. His hatred towards her led to the formation of the I Hate Rachel Green club, of which Ross was a part.
Pitt’s cameo was a fan favorite since, at the time of the episode’s airing, he and Aniston were still married. The couple decided to separate later on in 2005, a decision that was hard for Aniston.
