The British actor established himself as the pride of the gaming community as he expressed his obsession with them. Not only did he talk about his love for video games, but he actively participated in projects that were inspired by them. And in 2019, Cavill won the hearts of the gamers community.

Cavill has expressed his adoration for anything that has fantasy at its core. While following his usual routine of baffling the host and audience with just how much of a gamer he was, the actor cleared his stance on which console is the best. The gaming community once again shouts ‘one of us’ in unison because of his answer.

The gaming community is one that is highly passionate about its games. But it is not one to always nod in unison. For instance, one section admires The Witcher for its masterful adaptation while the other section believes that Netflix destroyed it. The debate that makes them draw out swords quite literally is which one among PlayStation or Xbox is the better gaming console.

While the rifts and disagreements between the gaming community are plenty, it unanimously agreed that Henry Cavill is ‘one of us’. That is until he said that he prefers PlayStation in an interview with NME during The Witcher promotions.

The actor did not even blink as he answered “PlayStation” as if that was an obvious choice of answer. He further added, “My dad got me into it when I was very very young,“.

While Cavill’s answer may not have brought a smile to those who prefer Xbox, the love he received from those who prefer PlayStation is enough to make up for it.

Will the British actor be doing more video game-inspired projects?

Many assumed that the actor will be keener on making himself an action movie staple after Superman. Especially after what unraveled with The Witcher. While he does not have many projects in the action genre, fans went absolutely berserk about his performance in Mission: Impossible-Fallout.

The actor has another spy thriller in his pocket with Matthew Vaughn in the director’s seat. As for taking it slow with gaming projects, Henry Cavill is not a believer. The actor, despite almost losing his Superman role because he was doing a five-man dungeon in the World of WarCraft, is now shaping up Warhammer 40k to be a success with Amazon Prime Video.
