Back when Ambassador Meghan Markle brought Smiles to the Underprivileged Children of Africa With her World Vision Trip
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, once again proved her loyalty and dedication to her service as she won the Women of Vision Award in New York City. Although the victory night quickly escalated into an almost fatal car chase, it does not hamper the fact that Meghan Markle will always be the next people’s princess after Princess Diana. Long before her marriage to the royal family, The former American actress has been an advocate of people’s rights and responsibilities forever.
The now Duchess has taken up various campaigns and charities to lend a helping hand to the needy and still continues to do so. As an Ambassador to the World Vision organization, the Duchess was en route to various places throughout the globe that brought her new experiences and insight into the world.
How did the Duchess help the communities in Africa?

One such of her various activities was her global trip with World Vision. Back in 2016, the California talent embarked on a journey where she looked at, learned, and lent everything she could to help better the lifestyles of the people. One of the key agendas that topped the trip was the scarcity of drinking water in certain corners of the world; the primitive of them all being Africa. The Duchess took the opportunity to witness first-hand the importance of something as common to us as clean water.
During her time in Rwanda, she took up various small yet significant activities that helped the underprivileged in unfavorable areas. Witnessing the type of water that the villagers used to intake left Markle quite disheartened. She thus made the effort to bring in freshwater to the community. The now Duchess helped them build a borehole. Meanwhile, the children flourished in glee as they distinguished the clean water from the dirt that they were consuming.

Speaking of the importance of clean water, Markle spoke about how “there’s a misconception that access to clean water is just about clean drinking water.” However, she believed it was so much more than that. “Access to clean water in a community keeps young girls in school,” she said.
The juvenile population was not all into walking hours each day, expressed Markle on the trip. Further, Markle visited the nearby schools and institutions where she helped spread awareness of clean water among the youth.
