Sticks and stones may break your bones, and words may never hurt you. But the third installment of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy definitely will. The movie proved to be among the best releases, not just in 2023 but from the science fiction genre as a whole. So much so that the declared king of the genre, Arnold Schwarzenegger, himself waxed poetic about the movie on Twitter. However, his reaction was not the whole truth.

The Terminator actor was invited to one of the first screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 not just as Chris Pratt’s father-in-law but as an exemplary pioneer of science fiction. Schwarzenegger was over the moon after watching the movie and especially Pratt’s performance. But it was also revealed, curtsy of James Gunn and Chris Pratt, that the Austrian Oak cried after watching the movie.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, although being quite a rib-breaking punch of humor, was also an emotionally packed spectacle that brought many to tears. And if the ‘many’ in question include the embodiment of the man of steel, The Terminator, then it is a proven gut-wrenching ride.

James Gunn made sure that he provided a perfect farewell to the group of misfits. And he did so by giving the fans and the Guardians a happy ending. But this in no way means that no crucial characters were harmed during the movie.

As expected of the often regarded as the “bloodiest” Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 saw a Humanimals massacre. It is understandable that the movie brought the Austrian Oak to tears, given how he is an avid lover of animals. After completing a theatrical run of $843.3 million, the movie is now headed to Disney+.

When is the Arnold Schwarzenegger-approved Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 releasing on Disney+?

Given how the Austrian Oak does not mince his words, it is quite hard to meet his standards. But Chris Pratt’s movie managed to do it. The Guardians of the Galaxy not only brought him to tears but also turned him into an impressed film critic. The James Gunn directorial is definitely woven with stars not just in its cast lineup but also in its plot.

It impressed the audience with a gazillion jokes per hour, all the while tugging at their heart with its emotional trajectories. The Guardians of the Galaxy will soon be available for streaming on Disney+ from August 2. Arnold Schwarzenegger may be Netflix’s Chief of Action but we know he will be getting a Disney+ subscription to watch this one.
