James Gunn officially shared an on-set picture of David Corenswet in the new Superman suit in May of this year. However, in the past few days, fans have gotten peeks at several unofficial looks of other characters through leaked pictures. As fans wondered whether these leaks spoiled the upcoming Superman for fans, James Gunn took to Instagram Threads, confirming that “not even a little” of the spoilers had been revealed in the leaked pictures.
The filmmaker appeared to be well aware of the risks typically associated with shooting outdoors. “I’d never shoot a big spoiler outside in the middle of the city,” said the 55-year-old studio executive. Gunn also dispelled a popular rumor about Milly Alcock making a surprise appearance on the set of Superman, stating that he was not even aware of whether the actress was in town or not. Nevertheless, this is not the first time such leaks have fueled hysteria on social media.
Similar instances have occurred during the filming of MCU's Deadpool & Wolverine as well, which gave away major spoilers.

It was the set photos that revealed the comic-accurate version of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine before the franchise even announced the movie's title. The leaks also confirmed Dogpool’s role in the film. It gave away a showdown between Wolverine and Sabretooth as well, which has recently been confirmed with an official teaser. Luckily, these leaked pictures did not necessarily ruin the movie too much for fans.
As for Superman, among the leaked pictures, fans got glimpses of Daily Planet staffers, including Kyler Gisondo's Jimmy Olsen and Wendell Pierce's Perry White, and even David Corenswet’s Clark Kent look. The unsanctioned photographers also captured Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor, and Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific. However, it is now confirmed that none of the leaked images contained any spoilers for fans to worry about.
