With season 3, Henry Cavill‘s legendary run as the Geralt ended. The actor’s departure from the show was perhaps one of the most shocking events for the fan base. Not only did the news leave the fans aghast, but they also took to Twitter and strongly voiced against the decision. In addition to the fans, the Enola Holmes star leaving the show was a major setback for the cast and crew of The Witcher as well.

It has almost been four years since Cavill made his much-awaited debut as the Geralt of Rivia. His journey as the character has been anything but ordinary. Over the three seasons, the actor gave countless iconic and memorable scenes to the audience. And recently, lead actress Anya Chalotra revealed her favorite moment from Cavill’s final outing.

Anya Chalotra and Henry Cavill shared solid chemistry on-screen. Moreover, Geralt and Yennefer were one of the most favorite couples in The Witcher. While the duo have worked together on a plethora of scenes in the show, there is one in particular that Chalotra enjoyed doing the most. During her interview with Vulture, the actress revealed her favorite Cavill moment from the show’s third season. Chalotra recalled the argument scene between her and Geralt in the woods, while Jaskier and Ciri had to mimic them from afar.

The actress added how they had to pretend to argue for the scene but failed to create one. As wholesome as it sounds, Chalotra revealed, “We just laughed the whole time.” The actress admitted that she had no idea how the editors edited the scene since they were just laughing throughout. Moreover, it was a surprising answer as many speculated it to be one of the action scenes Cavill put so much heart into. 

Meanwhile, although the third season did not give Cavill the send-off he deserved, it indeed allowed his character to grow.

How Season 3 of The Witcher did justice to Geralt

Season 3 was vastly different from the previous ones for many reasons. Firstly, the third season gave Geralt much more to do in character growth and development compared to seasons one and two. Moreover, it dug deeper into the character’s emotional side in a way many did not expect.

We witnessed how Cavill’s final outing allowed him to become somewhat of a mentor for Ciri. In addition to that, the character even formed a deeper relationship with Yennefer. Interestingly, Cavill even had a role beyond acting in season 3. Many of you might not know, but the actor was also assisting the stunt director in various fight and action sequences.
