The cast, particularly, deserves praise for their extraordinary marketing and strategic promotions that intensified interest in the movie. Since its release on December 21st, critics have flooded the internet with a mixed bag of reviews. However, the one thing everyone can agree on is that Anyone But You carried a visual and emotional resonance akin to a bygone era. It almost transported viewers to a cinematic era from two decades ago. 

Following its release, Sydney Sweeney took to her Instagram to offer a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes antics among the cast members. And no, its not Glen Powell.

Sydney Sweeney gave a shoutout to one of her co-stars

Sydney Sweeney took to her Instagram story to share a video featuring Alexandra Shipp, who played Claudia in the movie. In the movie, Claudia and Halle’s wedding set the stage for the budding romance between the leads, Ben and Bea. The behind-the-scenes clip captured Shipp and Sweeney belting out and dancing to Hilary Duff’s 2003 hit ‘What Dreams Are Made Of’. Both actresses happily bobbed their heads in sync with the song. Sweeney also shared a sweet caption for her 32-year-old co-star. 

Sweeney captioned how they danced around the clock, “acted like goofballs, and became best friends”. She then urged her followers to catch their newly-released movie in theaters. This clip was originally shared by Alexandra Shipp, who captioned the reel saying, “happy @anyonebutyou release date”. While Sweeney re-shared the joyful video, fashion photographer Taylor Miller shared a captivating carousel of images featuring the lead.

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell quickly became the most-discussed on-screen duo in town, with their unmatched chemistry. And the recently shared portraits of the lead characters radiated the same. 

The Anyone But You leads’ photoshoot

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell posed for Taylor Miller on the day of their movie’s release. Both stars shared warm hugs in the portraits, standing side by side, and also took some solo shots. The monochromatic portraits captured the leads in their finest styles. Sweeney donned a Shushu Tong collared mini-dress, coupled with knee-high black socks. The Euphoria star rounded off her look with a black headband and metallic earrings.

Meanwhile, Powell opted for a blue shacket featuring flip pockets and paired it up with an elegant white shirt. The pictures instantly had fans talking, and they could not help but marvel at the sizzling chemistry the pair shared. With the movie finally available, fans can get an even better look into their on-screen synergy.
