The Terminator franchise has six films under its belt with the seventh one in the works. This film has been very relatable to the audience, having shown the fight between humans and AI long back. And Arnold Schwarzenegger has been nothing short of a pioneer. Starring in five out of the six films, this actor will not be continuing the tradition of being the lead for the seventh film. But back when he was still part of the franchise, the Austrian had a neat trick to make things realistic.

The 75-year-old actor became famous for his bodybuilding and role in the film The Terminator, which premiered in 1984. The immediate success of the film helped him gain fame and brought the actor into the limelight. Having made it big in Hollywood, the actor shared his wisdom in a recent appearance on Howard Stern’s Stern Show in 2015. In the video, the Austrian-American actor reveals why he prefers not to interact with actors outside of scenes on set. He “acts like a robot” and keeps his distance so that the actors feel intimidated.
This helped them maintain their behavior and subconsciously channel the right emotions during filming. His mantra for getting the best out of all the actors was to make sure everyone remained emotionally uninvolved. He was “worried” that they would look at him while filming and have no fear required, as per the script.
Despite all the tactics, we won’t, unfortunately, be seeing Schwarzenegger in the next Terminator movie. Meanwhile, Cameron has this one thing he is waiting for before he resumes shooting.
The approach to writing the movie’s storyline

As the director talked about his plans for the film, he declared that it is back. Taking his ambition to create the most relatable and in-sync with present times movie, this director announced in May that he is 3 months into the writing and is currently on hold to see how AI develops. He will wait out any further shakes up and then finally embark on its completion. Cameron has also shared in the past how he had “warned” people about the AI invasion through his 1984 The Terminator film but nobody took it “seriously.”
While this pause makes the most sense in terms of a relatable storyline, it also ensures the betterment of the quality of the script. As we all know, the Austrian actor didn’t like how some of the films were written, so Cameron’s dedication could also serve Schwarzenegger’s satisfaction.
