Back in 1968, a young 21-year-old bodybuilder first stepped foot in his dreamland, the United States of America. However, it took the seven-time Mr. Olympia nearly 15 years to become a part of it. After the Terminator star graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior three years later, the country finally granted Schwarzenegger citizenship in 1983. And recently, the Austrian Oak celebrated 40 years since he first arrived in the USA. Schwarzenegger was all praises for America as he recently shared a glimpse of his incredible journey on Twitter.

The one-minute clip took the fans through an emotional rollercoaster. From inspirational moments of personal life to breakthrough points of his career, the video proved how far Schwarzenegger has come. It featured a voice-over by the actor as he encouraged all the immigrants and assured them they were welcome. He further shared his initial days in his country, describing it as “I came here with empty pockets but full of dreams and desires.”

Schwarzenegger wrote an emotional note with the video: “I owe everything to America. Born in Austria, Made in America!.” The Terminator star has always been grateful to the USA. He even celebrated the Fourth of July in an amazing manner. Long before the actor became a sensation in America, he was a hard-working bodybuilder who did not have much knowledge of the country. During his initial days, Schwarzenegger had to struggle to socialize with people. He revealed that he had to learn English and even change his accent. The star even confirmed the same in his book in 2012.

As hilarious as it sounds, Schwarzenegger recalled an embarrassing moment with a girl. Apparently, the Austrian Oak had newly learned about horoscopes and astrology, which he used to woo a woman. However, soon after the actor revealed his sun sign, the woman immediately rejected him and left.
