Not long ago, Schwarzenegger reunited with former bodybuilding legend Vic Downs after years. Downs, despite being 94 years old, is a bodybuilding icon and still maintains his personal fitness. The legend still workouts out consistently even after reaching such an old age. Surprising as it sounds, Downs defies the odds by following a proper 3-time workout schedule throughout his day. The Terminator star took to Twitter, sharing the feeling of joy after reuniting with his former bodybuilding friend. Schwarzenegger wrote, “My favorite moment of this week! Reconnecting with a very old friend.” 

Interestingly, the reunion was very unexpected. It was due to City News’ efforts to capture the incredible fitness journey of Downs that helped reunite the former two friends. The clip caught the attention of Schwarzenegger’s team. Schwarzenegger was thrilled and inspired, seeing Downs working out and pushing the barrier to stay fit.

Both the bodybuilders go back a long way. During Schwarzenegger’s early bodybuilding days, Downs was a local rival and the two have shared a mutual respect and admiration for each other for years. However, years went on and Schwarzenegger went on to pursue a career in Hollywood while Downs stuck to fitness and bodybuilding. Not long ago, the Terminator star also reunited with another bodybuilding legend.

The year 2023, seems to be an exciting year for the fans of bodybuilding around the world. This year, we witnessed some iconic meet-ups between the legends. Back in March 2023, the Terminator star came together with bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman.

The Arnold Classic event saw the two greats of the sports together after years. Coleman made a rare public appearance following his retirement from bodybuilding. Moreover, the meet-up became even more special since Coleman had been away from the media for a while due to sickness.
