Arnold Schwarzenegger Feels “Privileged” to Have Enjoyed His Time in Israel and Middle East as Hollywood Star
Arnold Schwarzenegger probably had one of the most enriching journeys in life. Rising from the ashes of a war-torn Austria to becoming the governor of the Golden State, the bodybuilder-turned-actor came a long way. The 76-year-old is currently busy with his recently released book that talks about seven golden rules to follow to realize one’s true purpose in life. For its promotion, Schwarzenegger has been making several appearances on talk shows and podcasts, sharing insights from his awe-inspiring journey through life.
Though the Middle East is facing a lot of struggles, Schwarzenegger revealed his experience there and in Israel as beautiful during one of the promotional interviews. But what exactly did the actor have to say?

The Terminator actor’s recent book, Be Useful: Seven Tools of Life, talks about the principles he learned from his father, that made him the man he is. With the book out, fans now have a chance to know more about the socially active actor. Despite his heart surgery, the actor has been doing interesting interviews, presenting almost a new insight every day. For the same, he recently appeared on the Jay Shetty Podcast reminiscing about his time of traveling in the Middle East and Israel as a “privilege.”
Schwarzenegger revealed how he got the ticket to “hop back and forth” from an Arab Country to Israel. During his time as a Governor, Schwarzenegger arranged several visits to Jordan, Jerusalem, Amman, Iraq, and Israel. Looking back at it, the former Governor reflected on his privileged life and how he would never trade it for anything.
In the interview, Schwarzenegger also spoke about his childhood and the life lessons he learned from his adversities.

Jay Shetty, the most popular spiritual guru on social media, asked the former bodybuilder about his “earliest childhood memory” that defined the person he is today. To which the seven-times Mr. Olympia responded by talking about his memories in the backdrop of a war-stricken Austria and the resulting poverty. The Terminator star also talked about his “strict” father, who pushed him to earn his own breakfast.
The relationship between Schwarzenegger and his father has been there in the conversations ever since the former released his documentary, Arnold. However, the actor paid tribute to his father by drawing the inspiration for the name of his upcoming book from his father’s lessons. Apart from tough circumstances and strict parents, Schwarzenegger also talked about the influence of the military in his life that helped him become “self-sufficient” as an individual.
