The concept of the best of both worlds is larger than life. Its right place is somewhere between a deed so good that one finds themselves reaping its benefit from here to after. In the case of seven times Mr. Olympia winner Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, it refers to his outstanding career as an Austrian bodybuilder and an acting career mirroring, if not exceeding it. And not one to shy away, the bodybuilder turned actor has always flexed his dual nationalities as he would to show his sculpted biceps.
Not only was the Austrian Oak the first of his age to win a Mr. Olympia title, but he was also the first of his kind to attain citizenship in both the United States and Austria. An achievement that he is clearly very proud of as he celebrates another 4th of July in the country.
” I was born in Austria, but I am made in America,” Schwarzenegger penned down for his 4th of July post. However, this declaration of pride was not all that the 75-year-old had to offer.

Akin to how he draped himself in the American flag when he was first notified of his citizenship, Schwarzenegger was all decked up in a US flag-printed jacket. The literal cherry on the top was his cowboy hat, which was also symbolic of the nation’s flag.
This proves that no matter how much time passes, the actor does not forget his roots. However, Schwarzenegger’s American Dream would have remained one had his birth country not pulled special strings for him.

The October of 1968 is forever etched in his memory as he navigated through the country that now hoards billboards of him all around the time. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s attainment of the American Dream is rightfully glorified because the actor still holds an Austrian nationality. And this feat has never been achieved before. The fact that Schwarzenegger holds his Austrian citizenship while also living in the United States is a testament to his greatness.

His home country does not easily allow its citizens to hold dual citizenship. However, when their ace put in a special request, they had no choice but to deliver. This is how Arnold Schwarzenegger attained the best of both worlds.
