Apart from his acting and bodybuilding career, the actor has also served the United States of America as a governor of California. Now, he is worth $450 million and is helping people to live a happy and healthy life. He has established himself as a great philanthropist as well.

Schwarzenegger, however, had to work exceptionally hard during his childhood before achieving everything he could only dream of. Recently, he talked about his tough childhood and strict upbringing with Jay Shetty.

The Terminator actor witnessed the devastation following World War II and how it impacted his own life as well. Recently, when he appeared on the Jay Shetty Podcast, he talked about how he had to earn his breakfast and how his mother struggled. His father was extremely strict. Therefore, as the actor said, “We were hit many times and punished for not doing the way they thought we should do things.”

The Austrian actor remembered that, in order to have breakfast, they had to do push-ups and sit-ups while they were growing up. He also remembered how his mother used to go around “what they call the hamstering, which means begging for food” from different farmers for her children. The Predator star also admitted everything that he went through as a child affected his life today. Having a tough childhood made him understand the value of things, as he spoke in an interview elsewhere, too.
