Coming in as a brainchild of Matthew Vaughn, Argylle packs a punch with its meta spy-thriller approach and a star-studded cast led by Henry Cavill. Close on the heels of the movie releasing on 2nd February 2024, critics have begun to share first-hand impressions following special screenings. Noted film critic Luiz Fernando packed a startling surprise with his review calling for the Academy to introduce a category to recognize movie stunts, landing the flick major credibility.
Coming from the Kingsman franchise director, Argylle has showcased a plethora of stunts, fireworks, and scenic action in its trailers alone. Furthermore, Fernando put the recently released ‘Electric Energy’ from the film’s soundtrack as one that could potentially compete in the current Oscars right alongside Barbie for Best Original Song. Adding stars to the upcoming Cavill, the rave positive reviews have had the hype for the movie ascend to its crescendo.
Argylle also marks the return of Henry Cavill to the big screen in a long time, even if his Netflix return may be a while away.

Matthew Vaughn has already laid bare his plans to intertwine Argylle, Kingsman, and another unnamed franchise into one shared universe. Moreover, he has also confirmed that the Henry Cavill-led project will have at least a trilogy of movies. However, the same will not debut on Netflix. Argylle stands as an Apple TV+ exclusive and will screen on the streaming site soon after its 2nd February drop in theaters.
As for Cavill’s fans, after his The Witcher exit, he will probably appear alongside Millie Bobby Brown in Enola Holmes 3. Yet, as of now, the British actor remains solely focused on his current spy thriller. In recent interviews and press events, he has shown off his charismatic style and spoken out on the details behind his in-universe hairstyle. Most importantly, Cavill also played coy on the possible involvement of Taylor Swift in Argylle.
