Jenna Ortega Reveals Joy Beyond ‘Wednesday’ in Fashion Ads and the Allure of Style Outside the Netflix Spotlight
In Hollywood, Jenna Ortega has demonstrated that she can act brilliantly even at a young age. She wowed audiences with her excellent performance as Wednesday Adams last year, earning her an Emmy nomination. But apart from acting, the actress also has a strong interest in fashion. She has demonstrated this by collaborating with Adidas and slaying on nearly every red carpet she steps on.
In a recent interview, the Wednesday actress confessed that, apart from performing, fashion advertising brings her joy.

In an exclusive interview with Elle Canada, Jenna Ortega discussed what it’s like to go from shooting a film to shooting a campaign for a brand. On a film shoot, the actress noted that she frequently had to cover the brand names rather than “show them off.” She also talked about the intricacies of promoting a shoot and how it is all about the product, instead of films, which put the performers in the spotlight. Furthermore, it is “nerve-racking” to be yourself in front of the camera rather than someone else.
The actress also discussed how having a movie experience aided her in shooting fashion campaigns. She noted that the “great thing” about having that experience is putting your acquired knowledge to good use and simply “let go.” Further that she “rarely” worries about missing lines and that the shoot concepts are always “enigmatic” and “creative.” Speaking further about the nature of the shootings, she stated that it was “strictly play” and thus a lot of fun.
The actress’s love for fashion is known to everyone, given the high-profile brands she endorses. But this love got a whole new life when she brought her goth-glam magnificence to the 2023 Met Gala.

The Met Ball was already packed with superstars this year as it was held in memory of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. But all eyes were on Jenna Ortega, who strolled the red carpet in her Thom Browne-designed Wednesday-themed gown. Her outfit was made out of a black corset top, a long-ruffled skirt, and a lot of Chanel-inspired gold and pearl accents. Given her knee-high socks and platform heels, her ensemble had a punk vibe to it.
While Ortega’s red-carpet designs have always had a gothic edge to them, this look definitely takes the cake. In a previous interview, the actress confessed that she has always “respected” goth culture and has a dark sense of humor. Her love and respect for the same are evident not only because of her most-watched performance but also because of her personal fashion choices.
