The Sussex couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are currently riding through a rollercoaster of a ride. Ups and Lows are undoubtedly a vital part of the life of celebrities. However, the Duke and the Duchess undoubtedly dwell in extremes. One moment, the pair is battling its way through trenchant controversies. The other is celebrating an unending winning streak ever since they released their Netflix bombshell, Harry & Meghan. The recent New York car chase had momentarily proved to be a setback for the Sussexes. However, they are quickly advancing to the top of popularity charts, making their space in the 2023 Emmys. 

The six-part-docuseries, which acquired the tag of an outright war between the Sussexes and the House of Windsors, are currently in talks for a prime-time Emmy win in the forthcoming award season. As is reported by the industrial magazine Variety, the royal tell-all saga is one of the top Emmy Awards prediction lists giving tough competition to HBO’s 100 Foot Wave and the Last Movie stars of CNN. The docu-series has thus stood out in some of the frontrunners for the award, including Selena Gomez and Lizzo. 

Although the predictions for the nomination list are subject to change, the final list is highly anticipated to have the royal docuseries. The merit list for the nominees will be out on the 12th of July. Till then, the Emmy nominations voting phase will run from the 15th of June to the 26th. Other Netflix documentaries are up for nominations, although quite late in the line as MH370- The Plane That Disappeared and Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal. 

All in all, regardless of the outcomes, the nomination buzz alone has fetched the duo a bounty of popularity

Entertainment experts have it that the stirring Netflix explosive has served as a boost to the couple’s credibility in the “ultra-competitive Hollywood marketplace.” And given the long-lasting impact it had on the audience, this story is not going anywhere. While fetching a vast fortune for the Sussexes, it also secured a sea of supporters who were once turned on by the ravaging media. 

Not only the Netflix docuseries, but each of the Sussex projects that have purely been in the public’s interest is on a roll sweeping up accolades in back-to-back award shows.
