Star power is the ultimate game-changer, right? Either you bask in it or burn out trying to reach it. Hollywood surely runs on flawless craft, smart choices, and crystal-clear foresight, but it is also just as much about finding space for those stars to shine without dimming everyone else’s light. In today’s scene, collaborations are like the secret sauce, slicing through the noise with finesse—way different from the old days when it was all cutthroat competition. Sure, the competition is still vicious, but take someone like Andrew Garfield—he is not just chasing fame for fame's sake. Instead, he is all about working with people who inspire him.

While his wish list is full of A-listers, he also interestingly name-dropped a certain Spider-Man actor.

Andrew Garfield recently spilled some beans to The Hollywood Reporter about his growing Hollywood résumé and who is on his dream list of co-stars. The second the question popped up, one could see in his face this list was no joke. He kicked things off by mentioning some acting legends from the older generation. First up, the queen herself—Meryl Streep. Though they have technically been in the same film, they have never worked alongside.

Then came the heavy hitters: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, and Daniel Day-Lewis (if he ever decides to un-retire). He also did not forget Robert Duvall and Gene Hackman, of course. As for the younger crowd, after raving about how much fun he had with Zendaya in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he officially added her to the list. Garfield also gave props to Colman Domingo, Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and Laura Dern.

Hold up though, because that was just the tip of the iceberg. Garfield had plenty more names up his sleeve.

In his recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Garfield started rattling off names he wanted to see right next to his movie credits. He mentioned having his sights on Eddie Redmayne, Charlie Cox, Tom Sturridge, and Cillian Murphy. Garfield revealed having already done screen tests with Murphy and Ben Whishaw before. When he talked about working with Ayo Edebiri and Julia Roberts, it was clear—this list could go on forever.

Garfield even threw in Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, and Will Ferrell, who he met recently. Garfield also reminisced about a screen test he did with Ryan Gosling 20 years ago and how he has been dying to collaborate ever since. While his list had to wrap up, it is clear this Oscar hopeful for 2025 is not just any actor—he is a dedicated student of the craft, with his eyes set on Hollywood’s finest.
