According to a recent report by Deadline, Apple TV+ is developing a drama series tentatively titled Bananas. Starring Ana de Armas and Oscar Isaac, David O. Russell is set to direct and executive produce alongside Fifth Season studio. Armas and Isaac are also attached to the project as executive producers, with the latter working via MadGene Media with Gena Konstantinakos. The series is written and executive-produced by Carolina Paiz.
Although Isaac most recently worked Marvel’s limited series for Disney+, Moon Knight, Bananas would officially mark Armas’ English series debut. However, the premise of the potential series remains shrouded in mystery. Similarly, despite the stars’ unveiling, the details of the characters or the plot are being kept under wraps. But given the duo is in for some high-profile theatrics on screen, the best bet is to stay tuned for more updates.
The character sketch may not be given for this upcoming Apple TV+ project, but another one has its rumor mill directed to Ana de Armas.

This rumor hit Tinseltown right on the heels of Chris Evans rejoining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Doomsday. Although Evans gave Armas the pats for her MCU-level stunts in an interview with ComicBook, having previously starred with her in Knives Out and The Gray Man, this could potentially bring them together for a never-seen-before superhero outing. However, it remains to be seen how it all pans out for the stars, considering the Bananas are yet to be peeled.
