In 2004, Matthew Perry sat down with  Entertainment Weekly to talk about his famous NBC sitcom Friends. During the conversation, the actor revealed he loved the season 1 episode 7 ‘The One with the Blackout’. The episode where Chandler Bing got stuck in an ATM vestibule with model Jill Goodacre during a power cut. He loved that he did not get to talk much and that it was a voiceover. “I [remember] spitting my gum out, and it stuck to the wall,” he said.

He continued it was his idea to incorporate incredible physical comedy filled with fear and embarrassment. Another reason this episode was his favorite was that he got the chance to his costars doing their thing on the stage. “This was the first time I realized, ‘Gee, this is really clicking,” added the Canadian actor. Perry also confessed that the whole getting stuck things got easier because Jill Goodacre was “hot”.
