Renowned pop culture personality Matt Ramos recently turned to X to share quite an uncanny update that The Boys writers' room is working tonight with a picture of Homelander. However, it may not take a rocket scientist to decipher that The Boys’ integral references to US politics called in for a satirical social commentary on the election process. Homelander, the leader of The Seven, is quite a notorious, self-centered character that may or may not resonate with politicians in the real realm.
While the integration of Homelander jokes in the context of the US election may cater very well to the upcoming season of The Boys, the writers could indeed be taking notes from the ongoing elections to tap the materials early on. Hence, as fans remain at it, be prepared for some no-holds-barred US politics references from this year when The Boys arrive with the fifth and final season, attempting a redemption for its last dip in season 4.
Although this may not serve the ideal update fans have been waiting on, the show did serve some just a few weeks ago.

According to a report by Variety, Stranger Things’ Mason Dye has been cast in a guest-starring role in the upcoming season of The Boys. Dye is set to appear as Bombsight, who was previously mentioned in season 4, but the specifics of the character are still under wraps. Bombsight was said to have starred in the early Vought superhero film The Curse of Fu Manchu in the 1950s.
Sources report that Bombsight could also make an appearance in the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising. Besides Dye, Daveed Diggs is also slated to appear in the upcoming season, which will mark the conclusion of The Boys once and for all. Although his character details also remain a mystery, unlike Dye, it is expected Diggs will appear in a series regular role.
