Amidst the Ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes Will Smith Expresses Support in a Heartfelt Note

Owing to their dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers has given birth to a series of protests in the industry. Smith emphasized how important the ongoing protests are, as he called it “a pivotal moment for our profession.” He also credited all those involved as he revealed how he has been extremely lucky in his career.

The actor got real as he admitted that at times, despite all the success, he feels he is living on borrowed time. The image that accompanied the caption was from an acting class headed by Speiser. Smith posed alongside the students of the class from The Screen Acting Studio, where he dropped in a class.
In the heartfelt message, Smith credited the head of the studio, Aaron Speiser,whom he referred to him as his mentor, coach, and friend, for helping him on days when he felt like he did not belong. The actor concluded the post by expressing his faith in the upcoming generation of actors.
While Smith and other notable actors support the cause, the combined strikes have had a major impact on several projects.
The aftermath of SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes
Unsurprisingly, SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes have created a state of immense chaos and confusion in the industry. Among the many things that have been affected due to the protest include the Emmy Awards. Reports by the Los Angeles Times suggest that the Emmy Awards will probably be postponed.

Other than that, online streaming platforms will also suffer significantly due to the protests. Notably, multiple shows and movies that were to reach Netflix this year have been delayed. Some of the shows that are likely to suffer postponement in their release dates include Cobra Kai Season 6, Season 4 of Emily In Paris, and The Sandman Season 2.
