Seems like the day is not serving the Duchess right. Amidst the usual royal controversies, Meghan Markle has several Hollywood friendships on the rocks. In a single day, the Duchess has faced two back-to-back splits from her once close associates, as reports claimed. After the entire ballyhoo around the David Beckham story leaking controversies, another fallout has tailed the split. Meghan Markle has yet another of her celebrity pals down, and this time it was George Clooney. 

The American actor along with his wife Amal Clooney was said to be close neighbors with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. There was a time when the couple stood with the Sussexes despite their outrageous rebellion against the royal family. Not only did they maintain it but also expressed their reasons for the same. However, the staunch supporter in them no longer exists, said Mail on Sunday.

The recent developments around the Clooneys have gone against their alliance with the Sussexes. Earlier this year in May, the couple appeared at the Prince’s Trust event in London. They have now rekindled their ties with King Charles and royalty as they are no longer “bosom buddies” with the Sussexes. 

No dramatic fallout has been noticed so far, unlike the furious Beckhams, with the Clooneys. Their years-long support for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is still here to recall.

As reported by various sources, the neighbors of the Sussexes have seen them grow together from a newly wedded couple to becoming brilliant parents. While Markle was pregnant with her firstborn Prince Archie, George Clooney spoke out in the media about why he was still on the Sussex side. 

Defending the Duchess, he said, “She has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was”. He further claimed that it was exactly how history was repeating itself. Not only the actor, but his wife too adored Markle. 

Upon Prince Archie’s birth, Amal Clooney was thrilled to see Markle become a mother. “They have an understanding and common ground that has helped Meghan and provided her with support,” claimed reports. The Clooneys even threw a baby shower for the Duchess, along with her close pal, Serena Williams. Sadly, the adorable friendship has failed to stand the test of time.
