Today, she has created her own beauty and apparel empire with the SKKN and SKINS brands. But even a billion-dollar business in fashion cannot guarantee a very exclusive MET Gala invite. Her latest Instagram post has left people wondering about her status regarding the biggest fashion event of the year.

Kim Kardashian drops a hint in her MET Gala 2023 event

The Kardashians have undoubtedly been the head-turner at MET Gala events with their unique and exquisite styles. She recently visited the office of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld in Paris. The post came with multiple photos of her hanging out around the luxurious office, and clicking along with the late designer’s pet cat, Choupette. Her Instagram caption stated that the intention of her visit was to get inspiration for her MET Gala outfit. That line certainly came as a surprise considering the recent news about the Kardashians.

They are reportedly not invited this year. Anna Wintour, the Chief Editor of Vogue Magazine has been organizing these events since 1995. In order to continue keeping the event special, they are being more selective about invitations, even cutting out celebrities from previous years. As per reports, Wintour chose this year to stop influencers from penetrating the exclusive fashion event, which meant having to snub the Kardashian.

This also makes some people wonder if the billionaire socialite just confirmed her presence through the post.

It was Kanye West through whom she attended the MET Gala first

The Kardashian admitted that she first attended the MET Gala thanks to Kanye West’s close contact in the fashion industry. She was pregnant at the time and turned up in a Givenchy floral long gown. The socialite claims to have done her own makeup, showing off her pregnancy glow with her then-partner. Thereon, they would twine together wearing brands like Balenciaga, up until their recent divorce. It is a question of whether her invitation has to do with her disassociation from the ‘Donda’ rapper.
