SAG-AFTRA association is passionately fighting for labor rights in the entertainment industry. And it is safe to say that the strike will not die down anytime soon. Amidst such outrage, the video gaming giant, CD Projekt RED, has dug its own grave by firing a whopping ten percent of its workforce. The company left about a hundred employees high and dry after its latest announcement of layoffs. However, this is not the first time the company has made such a decision for its benefit.

They laid off several employees in the months of May and June as they believed “teams that are more agile and more effective.” The company in its defense said that their organization is highly over-staffed and they do not have many jobs to offer. This decision could still make CD Projekt an easy target for the SAG-AFTRA association in the second strike. However, the good news is fantasy lovers now have two things to look forward to – the fourth installment of The Witcher and the upcoming video game adaptation.
