On what would have been her 27th birthday, the filmmaker took to his X (previously Twitter) account to express his appreciation to the community that “continues to honor her legacy.” He also stated how the community helped a very particular cause close to his heart.

The filmmaker also released a statement from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s CEO, Robert Gebbia, thanking his millions of followers for their generous backing of this cause. Further, the post also featured that the Zack Snyder fan community has raised more than $1.1 million for the American organization.

Originally conceived as a Star Wars picture, he grew it into a more mature look at George Lucas’ universe. This, however, was rejected when Walt Disney acquired Lucas Films in 2012. He then struck a deal with Stone Quarry and the streaming service Netflix to bring his new universe to reality. The full trailer was released on November 12, and it provides the audience with a good look at the outcast Kora, who travels across the galaxy to enlist the help of warriors to take down a despotic entity.
