In the world of superheroes and cinematic universes, passionate debates and discussions often arise surrounding the fate of iconic characters and their stories. Recently, with acclaimed director James Gunn unveiling his plans to reboot the DCU, fans have been left feeling a little confused. While the director already broke hearts by recasting Henry Cavill‘s Superman, he recently went on a spree of removing actors who were a part of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. This did nothing but infuriate fans further.

While the world was getting ready to accept the changes coming their way, Snyder fans were torn. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) a debate broke out. It was on whether there should be a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster. Although it seems close to impossible for there to be a sequel after most of the original actors have been removed, fans are hoping that Gunn could add the sequel to his list of projects.

However, DC fans seem to be split over whether there really should be a sequel without Snyder. With Gunn at the helm of things, fans will have to wait and see how that ends up playing out. So far, most of the DC actors are not set to reprise their roles. From Gal Gadot to Jason Mamoa, there are said to be big changes coming up. Although it seems fans have still not moved on from the Henry Cavill snub.

While the entire fanbase seems to agree that James Gunn might be rushing into things, they can not see eye to eye on the need for a Justice League sequel.

DC fans torn over a Justice League sequel

Even though it is the end of an era with James Gunn taking over Zack Snyder’s DCU, the hype for the cinematic universe has not dimmed in the least. And a recent post on social media brought around the fervent perspectives of those who have been eagerly anticipating the continuation of Zack Snyder’s vision and those who believe that the story is already complete.

Even though some fans of Zack Snyder were hoping against hope for a sequel, others thought that the hype for the film had run its course.

While the topic of a sequel seems to be a dream, it looks like most fans are uninterested in it. However, with James Gunn addressing fan concerns and sticking to his vision, fans are certainly in store for a treat. Although many of the actors will not be returning, it will be exciting to see how his plans stack up against the ones Zack Snyder had originally begun with.
