Amid Backlash From Prince William, Omid Scobie’s Endgame Is Temporarily Pulled From the Netherlands
In recent years, the world has seen Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expose certain secrets of the British royal family. While most of it has been through their joint Netflix collaboration, Harry & Meghan, and the Duke’s bombshell memoir, Spare, there seems to be a new contender in the mix. Although rumors of the Duchess penning her own memoir came to light, it was soon revealed that it was Omid Scobie’s memoir of the royal couple.
While Prince William has constantly been sharing his thoughts on the now-released book, it looks like the memoir will be further delayed in the Netherlands because of a rather surprising “error.”

According to reports by People magazine, royal author Omid Scobie’s book Endgame was pulled from Dutch shelves. While the world may have been waiting for the author to shed more light on the relationship of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the royal family, it looks like one thing slipped through the writer’s fingers. The translated version seemed to name the member who made a controversial comment about the couple’s firstborn’s skin tone.
With all of this having gone down before Prince Archie was born, the couple seemed steadfast in not revealing who it was. However, in the book that made its way to shelves on Tuesday, the names were definitely revealed. Although there is no saying whether it was accidental or a first draft version, one thing is for sure, the English version of the book has left out any names.
This is, however, not the first piece of backlash that has been shared over the book. In fact, Prince William also shared his displeasure at its contents a while ago.

In Endgame, Omid Scobie delved into the British monarchy after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit. While that included the couple’s relationship with the rest of the family, he did not shy away from shining rather harsh lights on Prince William and Kate Middleton. In fact, before the book became completely known to the public, the Prince of Wales was not happy that it claimed he “ignored” his brother’s calls.
While that may be normal for most families, the younger Prince was left hurt by the incident as it took place during Queen Elizabeth’s final moments. While the book is sure to give fans a deeper look into the Sussex couple’s time with the senior members of the royal family, there is no saying how much of it is really fact and which parts were added to.
