Alex Pettyfer Labels Henry Cavill "a true gentleman" Ahead of Their Guy Ritchie Collaboration
In the decades of showcasing his mettle and prowess on the acting front, the 40-year-old actor has always stood out as one to leave a lasting impression on fans as well as his cast-mates alike. In his stint as DC’s Superman, the actor struck a radiant bonhomie with the likes of Jason Momoa and Ben Affleck and likewise with Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra during Netflix’s The Witcher. Thus, it would come as no surprise that Henry Cavill had once again won over his co-star, Alex Pettyfer, in the upcoming flick, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
In a straight-from-the-heart message, the 33-year-old actor had some close reveals for his fellow British star.

On April 19, 2024, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will sail its way to the theaters carrying Henry Cavill as Major Gus March-Phillipps and Alex Pettyfer as Geoffrey Appleyard. Now, less than a month before release, the latter took to his Instagram stories to dedicate his heart out to the former while stating “I couldn’t of asked for a better captain, a true gentleman, thank you for always making every experience the most fun”.
Accompanying the message with a vintage-tinted photograph of the two smiling against the backdrop of London’s Tower Bridge. Additionally, the shot also captured Henry Cavill in a '60s-style full-buttoned jacket and Alex Pettyfer in a black suit. The latest show of harmony from the sets came not very long after a recent official promotional clip had the Argylle actor strike a brotherly frenemy discord with Alan Ritchson, previewing their dynamics in the upcoming movie.
Interestingly, Henry Cavill will let loose a no-holds-barred outlook of himself in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, previews for which have come through in shy glimpses.

The first trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare as well as its subsequent promotional pitched Henry Cavill at its front and center. Unlike his most recent outing, Argylle, where he had a notoriously low amount of screen time, the upcoming Guy Ritchie flick will not only keep the spotlight on him as the commander of the Special Operations Group but also feature a side of him never seen before on camera, such as goofing around with his tongue out.
Moviegoers can expect Henry Cavill and crew to outshine the screens with their wit, dysfunctional pair-up, and sheer unconventionality as they try to bring to life the World War II real-life story. Finally, with Guy Ritchie at the helm and with a track record of producing quality spy movies, April 19 could well mark the much-deserved return of star acclaim to Henry Cavill.
