Ahead of Release, Henry Cavill’s ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ Drops Promotional
Standing as the symbol of hope, truth, and justice, the British actor made his big-budget Hollywood breakthrough with DC’s Man of Steel, long back in 2013. However, some of his noted collaborations outside of the superhero leagues and Netflix’s fantasy, The Witcher, come in the form of spy movies. With Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle dropping not more than two months ago, Henry Cavill stands all set to throw the bulk of his stature in the spotlight for Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Right in the nick of time, the flick just debuted promotional materials for itself, carrying some good advice for fans.

In his second collaboration with Guy Ritchie after 2015’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E., the upcoming The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will have Henry Cavill play a British Army officer, Major Gus March-Phillipps. Along with a promising narrative, the movie has heavily relied on the ex-Superman actor’s sheer physical stature which came out looking even more buff in the official posters dropped just about a month before its April 19, 2024 release with the tagline of “Keep calm and Cavill on”.
Starring his character with a full beard, a twirly mustache, and an absolutely rugged physique, the initial drop of two posters also featured Alan Ritchson in the second. Masked against a red backdrop, the one with Cavill featured a gun in his hands while Ritchson looked determined with his archery. Aiming for an action-comedy tone, the movie also stars Eiza González and Henry Golding, with extra focus spent on making the Justice League actor’s persona stand out, as showcased in the trailer.
Deriving a storyline from actual historical events, the movie will also include the likes of James Bond author, Ian Fleming, as it goes slightly unconventional.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will revolve around the Special Operations Executive, a secret British organization founded by Winston Churchill. However, unlike the flair, suits, and mannerisms seen in movies like No Time To Die, the Guy Ritchie film will have his unique sense of storytelling spilled all over as a dysfunctional team takes on unconventional, unhinged and irregular warfare, giving birth to today’s black operations.
Deriving its elements from Damien Lewis’ book, Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII, the movie will have Freddie Fox play Ian Fleming as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare goes all out to maintain historical accuracy while also pitching Henry Cavill as the upcoming face of genre blending action.
