Earlier this year, the duo sparked rumors that they had a thing for each other. It began when they were filming for their upcoming rom-com, Anyone But You. With the SAG-AFTRA strike coming to an end, the stars returned to Sydney to reshoot a few scenes for the R-rated film. While they were there, they were spotted out and about with none other than the director of their upcoming blockbuster, Will Gluck. During their outings, the Euphoria star and Powell were pictured cuddling up to each other in a post on X (formerly Twitter). It was originally posted in a photo dump on Instagram by Gluck.

The picture may have been cute, but it caused a stir among fans once again. In the picture, Sydney Sweeney and her 35-year-old costar were getting coffee as a trio with Will Gluck. Even though it was a group hangout, fans could not help but mention the underlying chemistry between the stars. The picture even had fans revealing how much they hoped the co-stars would get together.

While there might be no hope there as the 26-year-old is engaged to Jonathan Davino, that has not stopped fans of the star from holding on to the hope that things might change.

Once the picture of Sydney Sweeney and the Set It Up actor made its way online, it caused quite a stir among the masses. Some fans were excited to see a hint of chemistry between the two following the lack of chemistry in the teaser trailer of Anyone But You. However, others were more focused on spreading their dating speculations all over the internet.

There were also a few social media users who pointed out that the way Sweeney and Powell were acting went perfectly with the synopsis of their upcoming film.

While fans may never know the true meaning behind the cozy picture of Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, one thing is for sure; filming for the upcoming movie is back on. With the film a little over a month away, all the reshoots will have to wrap up soon for them to make it to the planned release date of December 22, 2023. Hopefully, there will be no more issues that hinder it.
