It has not been very long since Prince Harry dropped his ‘bombshell’ memoir Spare. The book weighed heavy not just because of its words but also due to the 400 pages which gave fans quite a lot to unravel. While the memoir was a glass-breaking success and even earned a Guinness world record, it did not do much to boost the Duke or his wife’s public image. And if the several surveys are anything to go by, it further dragged it down. But negative marketing is also marketing, or so the Prince thinks.

Given how they have over-shared on countless occasions and their million-dollar deals are falling off, Prince Harry is looking for a tried and tested path to climb out of troubled waters.

While it is far-fetched to say that the Sussexes have hit rock bottom, their $20 million falloff with Spotify does indicate that they are headed towards it. And if the rumors are true, then Prince Harry is looking for the answer to their plight in his memoir. The Duke of Sussex is planning to mirror the success of the memoir by selling its film rights. However, GT Communication founder, Gemma Togini, does not think it’s the best of ideas.

The Duke’s memoir made for some interesting revelations, such as his frozen todger and how he and his brother begged King Charles to not marry Queen Consort Camilla. This is why it triggered everyone who read books, whether they liked him or despised him, to buy the book. “There’s hate purchases in there,” Togini told Sky News Australia’s Caroline Di Russo (via The News).

Can the Spare movie be a success?

The last time we heard anything from Netflix and the Sussexes, they were not working to create another royal family-centric material. Except, of course, Prince Harry’s documentary on Invictus Games is set to release sometime soon. Other than that, the couple has decided to try their hands at production. But a change of plans is not unheard of when it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Therefore, a Spare movie could very much be in the works.

If the couple is hoping for it to be another Netflix collaboration, then it may actually be a good idea. The streamer excels in moving docuseries regarding anything and everything. If the project gets further backed by their Hollywood friends, then Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may just be looking at a blockbuster success.
