Before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry parted ways from the royal family, the Duchess was already facing issues on her own family’s front. After Megxit, that controversy came to the forefront. Due to conflicts that arose at the time of the royal couple’s wedding, Markle’s father and Samantha Markle alleged their mistreatment at her hands. As time went by, the situation only escalated. This resulted in a lawsuit delivered to the Suits actress from her half-sister earlier this year that the former lost.

Now, the story has taken another ugly turn as Samantha Markle brings forth another defamation lawsuit.

Samantha Markle chooses to take matters further

When Samantha Markle’s initial defamation lawsuit was dismissed in April this year, her attorney came forward to make a statement. He promised that his client would pursue the allegations further with another attempt. Well, seven months later, they have delivered on that promise. Apparently, she is bringing additional proof to prove her claims this time, too. Whether the case will make it to court has not been announced yet. 

Meanwhile, as per many sources, Samantha Markle is said to have new evidence pertaining to the Duchess of Sussex’s comments made in the Oprah Winfrey interview. Furthermore, certain parts of the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan will be brought into question by her too. Evidently, Samantha Markle is determined to prove her point regardless of how long it takes. However, this upcoming hurdle does not seem to have bothered her half-sister. 

As the story continues to unfold, the 42-year-old has gone about her usual business in the meantime.

Although it is clear that these new developments are bound to cause trouble in Markle’s life, she has not made any comments regarding it so far at all. Not pausing her life to comment on the controversy, the mother of two last appeared in San Diego with Prince Harry after their recent appearance at a Katy Perry concert. In San Diego, the couple was invited for the inauguration of Warrior Fitness Program West Coast Facility. 

Like the Duke’s efforts towards veteran rehabilitation and aid, this facility was set up to achieve the same result with its neo-tech features. Well, Markle and her husband were both part of the ceremony that launched it. Although the new lawsuit is bound to cause a certain amount of upheaval for the Sussexes later, the two have clearly soldiered on with their usual work meanwhile.
