Due to the ongoing WGA strike, they couldn’t broadcast the results on Sunday but would air a pre-taped special later. Among the category of Best Performance in a Show, Jenna Ortega took the award home. It is a huge triumph considering the 20-year-old has beaten all the strong contenders nominated for the category.

Every single one of them is a fan-favorite star ruling television with their performances for years. However, it looks like the titular sardonic emo teen of the Netflix series has made a large impact on viewers this time.

It’s no secret that the slasher film became a box office success, receiving positive reviews from viewers upon its release. Now the film has turned out successful at the MTV Awards that jointly honor movies and television shows every year.

One can give the credit for this victory to the Scream Queen, who led the film alongside Melissa Barrera, bringing more brutal stabbing scenes.
