After Weeks of Speculation, Sydney Sweeney’s ‘Anyone But You’ Crosses a Box Office Benchmark
In the last year, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have taken over the world with the holiday rom-com, Anyone But You. While it initially took the internet by storm, by the time the trailer came out, fans seemed a little less than impressed. However, the co-stars managed to keep the hype for the movie alive with romance speculations and various marketing ploys.
Luckily for them, that was enough to ensure that the romantic comedy was a box-office hit. With only a $25 million budget, the Sweeney flick managed to cross a surprising new benchmark less than a month after its release.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that Sydney Sweeney’s collaboration with Will Gluck, Anyone But You, had crossed $100 million at the global box office. The success of the film proves that the lack of chemistry once portrayed by the stars had not taken over the screen. The latest achievement comes just weeks after the film grossed a massive amount four times larger than its production amount.
With the Gluck film doing so well, it looks like Sweeney and Glen Powell’s promotion tactics and premiere appearances paid off. While fans might not get to see the co-star team up again shortly, the 26-year-old has already kicked off her next project with another stunning cast. The Euphoria star may have played it safe with her roles so far. However, it looks like she is ready to take on her next big challenge.
Just like in Anyone But You, the world might be used to seeing Sweeney in ultra-feminine, femme fatale roles. However, that is not the case with her upcoming suspense thriller with Ron Howard.

In October of last year, it was announced that Sydney Sweeney had taken up another project while wrapping up Anyone But You. To everyone’s surprise, she teamed up with the director, Ron Howard, to act in his upcoming thriller, Eden. While this would be her first time treading into the unknowns of the world of mysteries, she is not doing it alone.

The actress was added to an already stunning cast of Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, Felix Kammerer, Toby Wallace, and Richard Roxburgh. With such a stunning cast list and an untold story about a Galapagos mystery, the world was already hooked as the cast began shooting in Australia.
