Meghan Markle just cannot seem to catch a rest. Ever since the former Suits actress took the plunge to become a royal, she has met with what can only be termed a series of unfortunate events. Barring a few instances where she welcomed her two bundles of joy and moved to a mansion in America, the Duchess is back to having a hard time. A constant through all these hardships that Markle has had to endure is Samantha Markle. Not with her, but against her.

Among the elder family members that are not in-laws, Meghan Markle is only close to her mother. Ever since the kerfuffle enfolded exposing her father, Thomas Markle, as a threat to her image, the Duchess of Sussex has maintained her distance. This did not sit right with him but only further agitated his daughter, Markle’s step-sister, Samantha Markle, who will be filing a libel case against the Archetypes owner for the third time.

The tale goes that when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared on the Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021; the Duchess said that she had not seen her half-sister in “at least 18-19 years“. This came after Samantha Markle had continuously maligned the Duchess throughout her time in the royal family. The former actress also indicated that her sister had changed her surname to ‘Markle’ only after she started dating Prince Harry.

While the rivalry between the two step-siblings is public, barring a few statements in her Oprah interview and Netflix docuseries, the royal Markle has decided to learn a thing or two about maintaining a stiff upper lip. Although it seems only restricted to this part of her life. The 58-year-old seeks an end to the supposed lies that Meghan Markle has been spreading about her as she sues her for libel.

This is not the first time Samantha Markle has sued Meghan Markle, but this will be the last time the court will allow her to. It is important to note, however, the one thing that has remained consistent through Samantha Markle’s attempts: the amount she demands in damages.

How much is Samantha Markle suing Meghan Markle for now?

As this is her last chance to shake the ground that the Duchess of Sussex stands on, Samantha Markle will presumably go all in. Earlier this year, she demanded from the Sussex couple a whopping amount of $75,000 in damages. However, the former Suits actress must have learned a thing or two during her time as a lawyer on Suits, as the case ended in a smooth win for her.

Now, barely three months later, Samantha Markle presents the same evidence again, hoping for a miracle. It remains uncertain how much she demanded, or even if the court will take proceed with the charges.
