In 2008-2009, Aaron Taylor Johnson met his now wife of twelve years, Sam Taylor-Johnson. The couple met during the filming of the John Lennon biopic, Nowhere Boy, and the rest was history. Now, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the 33-year-old addressed the judgment he faced for choosing to marry the now 57-year-old Brit. He claimed that it was “bizarre” and added that he did not “understand that.”

With the stark age gap between the couple, fans were on the fence about their union. However, they have managed to pull through. During the interview, Johnson went on to defend his decision by stating that it did not make sense for other people to claim that he was moving “too quickly” when it was not their relationship. After all, unlike most other people, the star had been in the spotlight since his childhood years and had knowledge beyond his years.
